The Newport News Police need your help to solve a past bank robbery.
On March 20th, 2017 at 9:59 AM, an unknown man entered the 1st Advantage Credit Union located at 12490 Warwick Boulevard and robbed a bank customer inside and the bank. The unknown man displayed a handgun, approached two tellers and a female customer, opening an account with her money lying open on a desk. He took an undisclosed amount of money from one teller and the customer. After the bank robbery, the male fled northbound on foot. There were no reported injuries from this robbery.
The offender was described as a black male with medium complexion, 5’9-6’0 tall, 30-40 years of age, and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a green short-sleeve shirt with a white/yellow emblem, khaki pants, a long sleeve black shirt, white shoes, black mask, and pink gloves; armed with a black/chrome handgun.
